About the position

As a Graphic Designer III at Michael Baker International, you will play a crucial role in the layout, design, and production of high-quality graphic design artwork. This position requires you to consult with clients and supervisors to evaluate individual project needs, ensuring that the final product meets their expectations. You will determine the size and arrangement of materials, select appropriate styles and sizes of type, and create sample layouts that effectively communicate the intended message. Your ability to study existing illustrations, photographs, and text will be essential in planning the presentation of materials, products, or services. In this role, you will also be responsible for obtaining cost estimates and coordinating with outside vendors, such as printers or paper suppliers, as needed. You will prepare graphics and layouts according to the instructions provided by clients or supervisors, reviewing your work for accuracy before presenting samples for approval. Once the samples are approved, you will create the finished layout or prepare instructions for workers who will assemble and prepare the final layouts. Your keen eye for detail will be vital as you review final layouts, suggest improvements, and present the final product to supervisors or clients for approval. Additionally, you will prepare final layouts for printing or files to be provided for press, ensuring that all proofs are reviewed and approved. As a senior designer, you will provide guidance and support to junior-level or less experienced graphic staff, assisting them in their work. You will also assist in the production and editing of PowerPoint presentations, proposals, and department marketing materials, contributing to the overall success of the team.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Four-year degree is desired.
  • 10 years of experience desired.
