About the position

Collegiate Hotel Group is seeking a Graphic Designer to own graphic design projects within our marketing team to support property-level marketing for our collection of hotels. This position is onsite in Louisville KY. Collegiate Hotel Group's marketing team is responsible for managing, activating, and executing branding for independent hotels and properties within Schulte Hospitality Group. We are seeking a Graphic Designer to support the marketing team with design projects, from concept research to design implementation and production of branded collateral and materials across several brand platforms. This position will report directly to the VP of Integrated Marketing for Schulte Hospitality Group. The ideal candidate would be a self-starter with a knack for creating memorable designs that resonate with our brand's target audiences and a passion for hospitality. This person is a creative thinker and succeeds in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment. They should be an excellent communicator who is able to work cross-functionally while handling large projects independently and have a strong sense of time management, branding, and organization.

Responsibilities

  • Execute on the direction given by senior marketing team members to create visually compelling designs for all brand touchpoints, including print and digital marketing initiatives, sales materials, and branded collateral
  • Maintain brand standards and a cohesive presence in all creative outputs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and translate brand requirements
  • Work closely with the marketing team to ensure awareness campaigns and initiatives achieve brand objectives and resonate with the target audience to assist in growing general brand awareness and help solve specific brand needs
  • Effectively manage and work efficiently within tight deadlines and frequently shifting priorities
  • Assist with print production and coordination of approved design work
  • Coordinate with vendors on the execution of multiple projects while remaining hands-on and seeing designs through production to completion
  • Develop relationships with like-minded brands to create impactful partnerships that build brand awareness and drive revenue to the hotels
  • Collaborate with internal teams to integrate design efforts into broader marketing initiatives, ensuring consistency in messaging and execution
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments such as Sales, Food & Beverage, Operations and Revenue to ensure a seamless guest experience through all brand efforts
  • Use existing Revinate and Mailchimp templates for E-mail marketing
  • Support creative for Social Marketing (Instagram Stories, Instagram Posts, Facebook and Event Banners)
  • Update existing Digital Ad creative and use brand standards to create new ad creative when applicable for existing brands and new brands
  • Creative and for Property OS&E and Sales Materials
  • Complete edits to existing brand decks and sales collateral
  • Maintain marketing collateral in Canva Accounts
  • Assist with print production and coordination of approved design work

Requirements

  • Detail-oriented designer and team player
  • Passionate about graphic design with an eye for layout and typography
  • Familiar with current design trends and best practices for both print and digital work
  • Excellent communicator, both written and verbal, who is comfortable collaborating with and taking direction
  • Agile multitasker who prioritizes their time efficiently, can communicate deadlines and manage expectations to ensure timely completion of tasks
  • 5+ years of experience in Marketing, Public Relations or related field
  • BFA in Graphic Design or equivalent relevant experience
  • Expert in Adobe Creative Suite
