Minuteman Press, the world's largest and top-rated digital print, marketing, and design franchise, is seeking a talented Graphic Designer / Prepress and Production Artist for our Fitchburg, Massachusetts location. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about graphic design and print production. The ideal candidate will possess a high level of proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign and Illustrator, and will have verifiable professional experience in pre-press and graphic design for print. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential for success in this role, as the candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all projects meet the highest standards of quality and accuracy. In this role, the Graphic Designer / Prepress and Production Artist will engage in a variety of tasks that include general typesetting and page layout for customer projects ranging from business cards to large banners. The candidate will prepare and print digital files, ensuring that fonts, links, and colors are correct, and will create bleeds, crops, and impose art as necessary. Excellent customer service and communication skills are crucial, as the candidate will interact with clients to assist them in the creation of their jobs, ensuring that their specifications are met and that the finished product exceeds expectations. Additionally, the candidate will assist in digital printing, finishing, and bindery duties, which may include cutting, folding, stapling, and padding. Maintaining an organized digital file system and performing general shop cleaning and organization are also part of the daily responsibilities. Responsibilities

• General typesetting and page layout of customer projects from business cards to banners.
• Preparing and printing of digital files, checking fonts, links, and colors, creating bleeds, crops, imposing art and exporting as PDF files.
• Communicating courteously with clients to assist them with the creation of their jobs.
• Reviewing job specifications from work orders and ensuring that client files are accurate, and the finished job exceeds customer expectations.
• Assisting in the Digital Print, finishing and bindery duties such as cutting, folding, stapling, padding, etc.
• Keeping an organized digital file system, using our franchise process.
• General shop cleaning and organization.

Requirements

• High level of proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite, primarily InDesign and Illustrator.
• 2+ years of recent professional graphic design or prepress experience in a print production environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Passion for print and promotional product design and production.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills to effectively work in a team environment.
• Professional appearance.
