The Graphic Designer position at the Pride Center of Oregon State University (OSU) is a vital role aimed at creating visual materials that promote the Cultural Resource Centers (CRCs) and their initiatives. This position is designed for students who are committed to addressing community needs through design, focusing on areas such as academic success, social justice, leadership, identity development, community belonging, and well-being. The Graphic Designer will be responsible for producing a variety of graphical materials, including posters, flyers, social media graphics, and video graphics, that inspire and empower the diverse identities within the community. In this role, the designer will engage in mutual learning about identity development and social justice, staying informed on issues affecting the community and working collaboratively with both professional and student staff. The position requires the designer to conceptualize materials that educate the community about important historical and social issues, promoting health and wellness specific to the respective communities. The Graphic Designer will also be involved in training sessions and workshops to enhance their skills and ensure adherence to OSU branding guidelines. The position is part-time, with a maximum of 24 hours per week, and may require evening and weekend hours. Successful candidates will participate in mandatory training sessions and will be expected to complete various tasks as assigned by professional staff.
