About the position

Minuteman Press, a print, marketing, and design company located in Green Bay, WI, is actively seeking a Graphic Designer / Print Production Representative. This full-time position is integral to our operations, as it involves direct interaction with customers to assist them with their print, promotional, and design projects. The successful candidate will engage with clients via telephone, email, and in-person, ensuring that their needs are met with professionalism and efficiency. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including graphic design, submitting files to vendors, and managing digital printing and bindery processes. You will work within a PC-based environment and utilize the Adobe Suite, particularly Illustrator and InDesign, to create and modify designs. Your ability to provide exemplary customer service will be crucial, as you will be building relationships with clients and employing consultative selling techniques to understand and fulfill their project requirements. The work environment at Minuteman Press is fast-paced and dynamic, with a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction. You will be expected to manage multiple tasks and meet aggressive daily deadlines while maintaining extraordinary attention to detail. This position requires both independent work and collaboration with team members, guiding projects from concept to completion. Candidates should have a solid understanding of digital print equipment, including file setup for printing, color calibration, and imposition. You will also need to check for fonts, links, bleeds, crops, and other file-related issues to ensure high-quality output. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for success in this role, as is proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers via telephone, email, and in-person with their print, promotional, and design projects.
  • Perform graphic design tasks using Adobe Suite, specifically Illustrator and InDesign.
  • Submit files to vendors and manage digital printing and bindery processes.
  • Provide exemplary customer service and build relationships with clients.
  • Utilize consultative selling techniques to understand customer needs and fulfill project requirements.
  • Set up and operate digital print equipment, ensuring proper file setup for printing.
  • Check for fonts, links, bleeds, crops, and other file-related issues to ensure quality output.
  • Manage multiple tasks and meet aggressive daily deadlines with minimal supervision.

Requirements

  • Experience with Graphic Design, specifically with Adobe Cloud (Illustrator and InDesign).
  • Understanding of digital print equipment setup and operation.
  • Ability to perform file setup for printing, including color calibration and imposition.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong time-management skills and ability to juggle multiple tasks.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Outlook).

Nice-to-haves

  • 1 year of experience in Graphic Design (Preferred).
  • 1 year of experience in Print Related work (Preferred).
