About the position

WISH-TV in Indianapolis is seeking a Graphic Designer, Programmer, and Coder to join their innovative graphics department. The role involves problem-solving and bringing unique ideas to life with network quality. The successful candidate will be responsible for logic and project mapping, converting that logic into scripts, animations, and data linking, as well as troubleshooting network issues.

Responsibilities

• Logic and project mapping for graphics and animations.
• Converting logic into scripts and animations.
• Data linking and fetching for real-time systems.
• Editing and creating data services for graphics.
• Troubleshooting communication failures in systems.

Requirements

• Experience with at least 3 programming languages (Visual Basic, Perl, Python, Javascript, HTML, CSS, XML, JSON, SQL).
• Basic understanding of networking and network protocols.
• A degree in computer science or related discipline or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years of professional experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with animation systems, especially Xpression and Prime.
• Web app creation and editing skills.
• Linux programming and use (shell, no GUI).
• Knowledge of Photoshop and Adobe After Effects.
