About the position

KBR is seeking a talented Graphic Designer to join our marketing and communications team, focusing on delivering visually creative and engaging assets that promote the KBR brand. This remote position requires a highly skilled designer who can synthesize complex engineering and science information into compelling visuals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in graphic design, particularly in print deliverables, and will be responsible for creating a variety of graphic elements including advertisements, trade show booths, logos, brochures, billboards, social media content, corporate signage, and digital assets such as websites and videos. The designer will work closely with the marketing and communications team to ensure that all visual assets align with KBR's strategic plan and business goals. In this role, the Graphic Designer will be expected to create strategic and original visual content that adheres to brand standards and reinforces KBR's position as a market leader. The successful candidate will possess excellent attention to detail, strong typography skills, and a collaborative mindset. They will be responsible for coordinating the design and production of communication products and deliverables, translating conceptual ideas into effective designs, and providing graphic design support for briefings, presentations, and videos. The position requires the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards and meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Create strategic and original visual content that adheres to brand standards and reinforces KBR's position as a market leader.
  • Design and develop graphics and illustrations across multiple platforms, including tradeshow designs, conference materials, print and digital signage, presentations, videos, and other collateral.
  • Provide graphic design support for briefings, presentations, and videos.
  • Coordinate the design and production of communication products and deliverables.
  • Translate conceptual ideas into effective design, formulate concepts.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in graphic design, marketing, advertising, or equivalent preferred.
  • 7+ years of design experience with a focus on print deliverables.
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, and Microsoft PowerPoint/Office.
  • Strong ability to translate highly technical content into thoughtful, compelling, and effective graphic design products.
  • Outstanding ability to communicate ideas to designers, engineers, product managers, and leadership through storytelling, visuals, and presentations.
  • Strong project and time management skills to juggle multiple simultaneous deliverable schedules.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience in the space and technology sector.
  • Other audiovisual and writing skills are also desirable.
  • Photography and post-production editing skills (Adobe Photoshop/Lightroom).
  • Animation skills (Adobe After Effects).
  • Motion/video-editing skills (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, any NLE).
