About the position

The Graphic Designer / Output Specialist at FASTSIGNS is responsible for creating high-quality graphics output for various signage and marketing solutions. This role requires a detail-oriented and creative individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to teamwork and customer satisfaction. The position involves working closely with team members to ensure the final product meets client expectations and maintaining high standards of quality in graphic design and print production.

Responsibilities

• Prepares comprehensive layouts, mockups, proofs, and copy for print reproduction according to client instructions.
• Performs logo modification and sources high-quality digital files.
• Prepares files by adding bleeds, crop marks, die-lines, and other finishing layers, archiving files upon completion.
• Inspects all jobs for accuracy and quality before production.
• Maintains accurate electronic and paper records of projects.
• Works on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Loads materials into printers, table routers, laser cutters, and engravers, which may require heavy lifting.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; advanced education degree preferred.
• Experience in graphic design and print production using PC and Mac.
• Expert knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Knowledge of various graphics programs and output devices such as vinyl plotters, large-format printers, laser engravers, and CNC routers.
• Strong math and proofreading skills, including spelling and grammar.
• Ability to work well under pressure to produce high volume, high-quality work.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptionally detail-oriented to ensure project accuracy.

Nice-to-haves
