About the position

As a Graphic Designer at Spectrum Signs & Graphics, you will work closely with the sales team, vendors, and clients to create and prepare designs for various types of signage. The role involves both in-house manufacturing and collaboration with strategic partners for additional elements like digital message boards. This position is integral to the company's full installation services in regional markets and is part of the 3M national installers' network.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed designs for various signage products including interior signage, vinyl graphics, banners, wayfinding signage, building signage, monument signs, and digital signage.
• Prepare production files for use on equipment such as large format printers, plotters, and cutters.
• Coordinate with sales, project management, and production teams to achieve client signage and branding goals while complying with applicable city regulations.
• Perform other tasks as needed to meet client needs.

Requirements

• Highly experienced with Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Illustrator and Photoshop) and/or equivalent experience with Corel Draw for technical designs.
• 2+ years of signage design experience highly preferred.
• Understanding of requirements and processes related to permitting preferred.
• Experience with architectural/technical signage design is a plus.
• Previous exposure or proficiency in SketchUp is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of materials, fabrication methods, and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, multidisciplinary environment both as part of a team and individually.
• Well organized with high attention to detail.
