About the position

The Graphic Designer Subject Matter Expert (SME) at Astrion will play a crucial role in supporting the Command, Control, Communications, and Battle Management Division (C3BM) by creating various visual materials that enhance communication and decision-making processes. This full-time position is based at Hanscom AFB, MA, and requires a strong background in graphic design, particularly within the Department of Defense (DoD) context.

Responsibilities

• Create briefings, logo/emblem designs, cube/office signs, banners, and award/recognition certificates.
• Scan photographs and design templates, storyboards, and oversized plots.
• Print large-scale diagrams, schedules, flow charts, and drawings.
• Develop floor plans, tri-folds, web graphics, and business cards.
• Serve as the SharePoint Interface Design Point of Contact (POC).

Requirements

• Must be a US citizen.
• Must have and maintain a Top Secret Level Clearance with SCI eligibility.
• 20+ years of directly related experience, with at least 8 years in the DoD.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (including Publisher, Visio, and Project), Adobe Creative Suite, and SharePoint.
• Strong knowledge of print processes, Adobe Brackets, HTML, and CSS.
• Basic knowledge of JavaScript.
• Basic to intermediate photography skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with plotters/printers and vacuseal machines for mounting posters on foam core.
• Familiarity with image scanners.
