About the position

Leidos is seeking a Graphic Designer Team Lead in Washington, DC, who will play a pivotal role in delivering innovative solutions within the National Security Sector. This position is designed for a seasoned professional who can provide senior-level expertise to team members and lead contractor personnel in their functional area. The Graphic Designer Team Lead will be responsible for completing complex tasks independently while collaborating with analysts to understand requirements and enhance analytic thoughts through effective graphic and layout solutions. The role involves developing graphic design and layout solutions for intelligence products, which includes creating illustrations, editing images, managing fonts, and utilizing advanced pre-publication techniques. The successful candidate will use government-specified technology to produce a variety of graphic design outputs, including cartographic products, interactive graphical content, video content, analytic product templates, and marketing materials. Proficiency in professional graphics and design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, AfterEffects, Premiere, and Flash), Apple Final Cut Pro X, and Microsoft 365, is essential for this position. Candidates must possess an active Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) security clearance and will be subject to a Polygraph. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 12 years of experience in the graphic design field, with a portion of that experience occurring within the last two years. This position is contingent upon contract award, and the Graphic Designer Team Lead will be expected to demonstrate mastery of qualitative and quantitative analytic methodologies, define comprehensive research approaches, and conduct in-depth analysis of analytic operations across organizational boundaries.

Responsibilities

  • Provide senior-level expertise to team members and lead contractor personnel in their functional area.
  • Work collaboratively with analysts to understand requirements and enhance analytic thoughts through graphic solutions.
  • Develop graphic design and layout solutions for intelligence products, including illustrations and image editing.
  • Utilize government-specified technology to produce graphic design, cartographic products, and interactive content.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in professional graphics and design software, including Adobe Creative Suite and Apple Final Cut Pro X.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) security clearance required.
  • Minimum 12 years of experience related to the graphic design field, with recent experience within the last two years.
  • In-depth knowledge of labor category activities required to meet mission requirements.
  • Mastery of qualitative and quantitative analytic methodologies.
  • Ability to define comprehensive research approaches for rigorous assessments.
  • In-depth analysis of analytic operations and knowledge management issues across organizational boundaries.
  • Ability to review analytic products for cogent arguments and tradecraft standards.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience leading teams of 10-20 or more employees.
  • Experience with T&M TO contracts and performance-based contracts.
