About the position

The Graphic Designer/Technical Illustrator I position at Horizontal Talent is a short-term contract role focused on supporting proposal graphic production and developing 2D graphics for various marketing and internal communications. The role requires collaboration with the Marketing & Communications Department to enhance the company's market profile through high-quality visual content.

Responsibilities

• Use graphic software to illustrate technical data and concepts for business proposals and documentation.
• Develop data plots, tables, infographics, and technical graphics to support business pursuits.
• Create or update marketing materials such as brochures, tradeshow booth designs, and advertising.
• Consult with subject matter experts to create visual representations of technical solutions.
• Apply company-specific publication standards and branding elements to all materials developed.
• Collaborate with the Marketing & Branding Manager to ensure design consistency with branding guidelines.
• Ensure all designs align with the company brand and strategy.
• Provide additional communications support as assigned.
• Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department and across the company.

Requirements

• BS/BA in a related field.
• Extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
• Excellent skills in Microsoft products, including Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Excel, Teams, Planner, SharePoint, Project, and Outlook.
• Experience developing graphics for proposals and technical documents.
• Exceptional visual communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects under deadline pressure.
• Ability to engage with subject matter experts and distill information into visual representations.
• Customer-minded approach to creating visuals with a willingness to incorporate feedback.
• Experience working under brand guidelines.
