About the position

The Graphic Designer position at Carnegie Mellon University is a full-time, fixed-term role within the UEIS External Relations team. This role is designed for a creative individual who will provide innovative design solutions across various platforms, including marketing collateral, websites, and event communications. The designer will work closely with internal clients and the External Relations team to enhance the visibility and perception of the UEIS units, ensuring high-quality design standards and effective project management.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage the design, concepts, and creation of marketing assets and environmental designs.
  • Develop templates and systems for design solutions usable by non-designers within UEIS.
  • Lead and participate in team meetings to discuss design strategies and project updates.
  • Pursue ongoing training in graphic design and stay updated on current trends.
  • Organize and direct all creative and production work to meet deadlines.
  • Identify and manage vendor relations for design projects.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in a relevant field.
  • 3 years of graphic design experience.
  • Proficiency in various design and office software.
