About the position

As a Graphic Designer at Life Surge, you will be an integral part of a dynamic team dedicated to producing visually engaging marketing materials that promote our faith-based live events and financial education programs. This full-time position requires a creative individual who can conceptualize and create eye-catching designs for various marketing channels, including digital advertisements, social media graphics, print materials, event signage, and promotional collateral. Your designs will play a crucial role in capturing the attention of our target audience and effectively communicating the unique experiences our events offer. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the marketing team to develop creative concepts that highlight key details, speakers, performers, and special features of each event. You will be responsible for ensuring that all designs adhere to our brand guidelines and maintain brand consistency across different marketing touchpoints. Additionally, you will manage multiple design projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines without compromising on quality. Staying up to date with design trends, best practices, and emerging technologies will be essential as you infuse innovative ideas into your work. You will also utilize your photography and image editing skills to enhance marketing materials and prepare designs for print, ensuring that all artwork is print-ready and meets industry standards. This position reports directly to the Creative Manager and is a non-exempt role, requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize and create eye-catching and compelling graphic designs for various marketing channels, including digital advertisements, social media graphics, print materials, event signage, and promotional collateral.
  • Ensure all designs adhere to our brand guidelines and maintain brand consistency across different marketing touchpoints.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop creative concepts that effectively promote each event, highlighting key details, speakers, performers, and special features.
  • Use design elements, typography, and imagery to tell a compelling visual story that resonates with the target audience and communicates the essence of each event.
  • Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines without compromising on quality.
  • Work closely with the Creative Director, marketing team, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements, gather feedback, and incorporate necessary revisions.
  • Stay up to date with design trends, best practices, and emerging technologies, infusing innovative ideas into your work.
  • Utilize photography and image editing skills to enhance marketing materials.
  • Prepare designs for print, ensuring artwork is print-ready and meets industry standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in graphic design.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design work, including digital and print marketing materials.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant graphic design software.
  • Solid understanding of design principles, layout, typography, and color theory.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality designs.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • A team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
