About the position

Hensley Beverage Company is seeking a full-time Graphic Designer to join our dynamic team. As a multi-generational, family-owned beverage wholesaler based in Arizona, we pride ourselves on distributing a diverse portfolio of beverages, including Anheuser-Busch InBev beers, local craft beers, premium non-alcoholic beverages, and a selection of fine wines and spirits. In this role, the Graphic Designer will be responsible for designing and creating layouts, adding information and verbiage into pre-designed templates, and producing various types of point-of-sale materials for both accounts and in-house use. The position will primarily involve working under the direction of the Lead Designer, focusing on production-level tasks while gradually taking on more custom design work as the new hire becomes acclimated to the work environment. The ideal candidate will be proficient in graphic design software and tools, including Corel Draw and the Adobe Suite, and will have a strong sense of design and layout. This role requires the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, maintain attention to detail, and adapt to changing priorities. The Graphic Designer will also be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of graphic equipment and ensuring a clean and organized work area.

Responsibilities

  • Design and create layouts for point-of-sale materials.
  • Add verbiage and information into pre-designed templates at a production level.
  • Produce various types of point-of-sale for use in accounts and in-house under the direction of the Lead Designer.
  • Utilize graphic software including Corel Draw, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop to produce designs.
  • Operate wide format inkjet printers, vinyl plotters, scanners, and laminators in the production process.
  • Assemble point-of-sale materials using various paper and plastic products.
  • Maintain and upkeep graphic equipment and work areas.
  • Learn about various media, substrates, and printer functions.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Corel Draw, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop.
  • General knowledge of graphic software and both vector and raster imaging.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to learn new concepts and skills quickly.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with EFI Fiery and MPS software programs.
  • Familiarity with cutting master 3m software.
  • Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds and occasionally heavier objects.
  • Experience using a grommet press and working with sharp tools.
