About the position

We are seeking a Senior Graphic Designer to join our team in a hybrid capacity, working out of our Chicago office 2-3 days a week. This is a 5-month contract position that requires a digital portfolio showcasing your design capabilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building a compelling brand identity and crafting innovative concepts across various campaigns and initiatives. You will be tasked with transforming complex strategies into memorable creative outputs that resonate with our audience. Your role will involve producing fresh concepts, creating engaging messages, and overseeing production partners to ensure the highest quality of work. Collaboration is key in this position, as you will work closely with copywriters, fellow designers, and cross-functional teams including business, marketing, merchandising, media, and agency partners. You will be accountable for delivering campaigns across all channels, including traditional, digital, and emerging media.

Responsibilities

  • Create campaign concepts and execute tactics in-store, print, website, email, digital media, and social media.
  • Research, design, revise, and proof execution to ensure creative is on brief, strategy, and brand.
  • Manage feedback, timelines, milestones, and internal details to ensure delivery on time.
  • Participate in meetings facilitated by creative leads, marketing, or business partners to understand the goals and objectives throughout the stages of a project.
  • Effectively resolve problems and roadblocks as they occur.
  • Participate in meetings with internal and external peers and/or managers to exchange information related to assigned activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 8-10 years of experience working as a Designer.
  • At least 8-10 years of experience working on marketing and/or advertising projects.
  • Experience using Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and XD.
  • Experience with social media marketing.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in design, advertising or related fields.
  • Experience with multicultural marketing.
  • Experience with customer experience design.
  • Experience with marketing retail, beauty products, and health & wellness products.
  • 1+ years of omni-channel experience in print, digital, and environment.
  • Experience communicating ideas to partners to persuade, gain acceptance, or sell.
  • Expertise using Figma.
  • Experience in packaging design, OLV, video, and photoshoot.
  • Experience in styling and propping for in-house video/photoshoot.
  • Agency-side experience is a plus.
