About the position

The Graphic Designer position at the University of Kansas involves producing high-quality multimedia content to support assessments and various projects within the Achievement & Assessment Institute. The role requires collaboration with senior designers to create graphics for assessments, promotional materials, websites, and videos, while adhering to branding and marketing principles.

Responsibilities

• Create and edit graphics for assessments, promotional content, websites, and animated videos.
• Assist in the development of storyboards and scripts for multimedia projects.
• Use Adobe Illustrator to create digital graphics for web-based platforms.
• Attend team meetings and provide timely project status updates.
• Assist with other center responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator.
• 2 years of experience with Microsoft 365, specifically Excel and Word.
• Understanding of graphic design principles including layout, contrast, balance, and typography.
• Demonstrated artistic ability with drawing skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous graphic design experience.
• Familiarity with SVG graphics.
• Experience with an organized graphics library.
• Experience with Adobe Photoshop and InDesign.
• Experience working with MacOS.
