About the position

Bites Asian Kitchen + Bar is seeking a talented Graphic Designer and Photographer to enhance our brand identity and visual communication strategies. This role involves creating captivating animations, designing visuals for print and web, and updating our website, all while celebrating the diverse culinary traditions of Asia. A deep understanding of Asian culture and cuisine is essential to effectively translate our restaurant's essence into compelling visual narratives.

Responsibilities

• Create engaging animations for digital ads and social media campaigns that effectively promote our restaurant and menu offerings.
• Design visually stunning graphics for print materials such as menus, posters, flyers, and promotional materials.
• Update and maintain our website with fresh content, including menu updates, special events, and blog posts.
• Create visually appealing and effective email campaigns to engage subscribers and drive business goals.
• Collaborate with our marketing team to brainstorm creative ideas and develop strategic marketing campaigns that resonate with our target audience.
• Conduct research on Asian culture, culinary trends, and design aesthetics to inform your creative work and ensure authenticity.
• Work closely with our culinary team to visually showcase our dishes and highlight their unique flavors and ingredients.
• Ensure brand consistency across all visual assets and communications, maintaining high standards of quality and professionalism.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in graphic design, animation, and digital marketing.
• Create and organize a library of assets including graphics, animations, photographs, and videos for easy access and retrieval.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a graphic designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing your creativity and technical skills.
• Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and Light Room.
• Experience creating animations and motion graphics for digital platforms.
• Solid understanding of web design principles and experience with website management platforms such as WordPress.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Passion for Asian culture and cuisine, with a deep appreciation for the diversity and complexity of Asian culinary traditions.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work on time and within budget.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with photography and videography.
