About the position

The Graphic Designer position at New York Hemp Oil is a full-time role focused on producing high-quality marketing and print materials, particularly in packaging label production. The ideal candidate will have experience in consumer packaged goods (CPG) and a strong understanding of print production, ensuring designs align with brand guidelines and legal regulations in the cannabis industry. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with marketing and creative teams.

Responsibilities

  • Support the creation and production of print materials, particularly packaging labels, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal regulations.
  • Create marketing materials in both print and digital formats to support the sales team.
  • Use Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD, Figma, Express) to prepare files for print and digital use.
  • Maintain meticulous attention to detail when working with brand assets to align with company guidelines.
  • Assist with basic photography and post-production processing to ensure high-quality visuals.
  • Manage multiple projects and vendors, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality.
  • Organize and maintain brand assets, design files, and production templates for easy access.
  • Collaborate with creative and marketing teams, incorporating feedback into design work.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a production or graphic design role, ideally print-focused.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, with an emphasis on print production knowledge.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to follow brand guidelines and compliance with precision.
  • Strong organizational skills to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Self-starter who is reliable, adaptable, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of print production processes and packaging design is highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to give and receive feedback professionally.
