About the position

Hazen and Sawyer, an engineering and environmental science firm, is seeking a mid-level graphic designer with 4-8 years of experience, who is adept at conceptualizing and producing informational and technical graphics and document layouts for the development of best-in-class business proposals, presentations, and other marketing materials. We're looking for a collaborator who likes to work in an agile, fast-paced environment as part of a team creating charts, diagrams, icons, illustrations, maps, 3D models, PowerPoint presentations, and other detailed informational graphics for use in print and online. Must have experience designing instructional graphics and page layouts. The key to this challenging and incredibly rewarding industry is having a story to tell and a team that can bring it to life—and have fun while doing it. This is hybrid position will be located in Hazen's Lakewood, CO, Fort Collins, CO, Colorado Springs, CO, Greenwood Village, CO, Albuquerque, NM, Las Vegas, NV, or South Jordan, UT office.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with the proposal/business development and technical teams in the design of graphics that adhere to corporate brand guidelines.
• Conceptualizes and translates complex and technical information into clear and compelling visuals that convey key messages.
• Works within established design templates to ensure brand consistency and adherence to brand guidelines.
• Works independently as well as collaboratively with diverse technical teams to distill information and produce work under strict and concurrent deadlines.
• Ability to digitally print and produce materials including display boards, brochures, flyers, reports, and proposals, and manage print vendors when off-site printing is required.

Requirements

• Degree in Graphic Design or related field (or equivalent experience) and at least 4-8 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to learn and develop an understanding of the Planning, Engineering and Construction consulting industry.
• Experienced in multi-page document layout with the ability to generate graphics/illustrations as needed.
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
• Proficiency in basic Microsoft applications: PowerPoint and Word.
• Firm understanding and grasp of the creative/collaborative process, design applications, and design tools.
• A clear understanding of applying brand principles to layout, color theory, and typography.
• Eye for attractive page layout using Adobe InDesign (including the generation of styles pages and design templates).
• Strong organizational, analytical, multi-tasking, and time-management skills.
