About the position

The Graphic Designer at Zimmer Biomet is responsible for developing design concepts that meet communication goals and creating a variety of marketing materials. This role involves working closely with the Marketing Communications Team to ensure timely project completion and maintaining high-quality standards in design and production.

Responsibilities

  • Develop design concepts to meet communication goals.
  • Create and edit photos, charts, type, illustrations, brochures, technical manuals, video & multimedia materials, and trade show materials.
  • Facilitate print or electronic production of marketing materials.
  • Design collateral material to support initiatives, including brochures, manuals, booth graphics, and promotional information.
  • Prepare layout from mockups and designs using appropriate reproduction methods.
  • Submit RFQs to vendors and manage the proofing process to ensure high-quality production.
  • Maintain an archive of images, photos, multimedia, and previous work products.
  • Prepare notes and instructions for vendors assembling final layouts for printing.
  • Update projects using the project management system to ensure timely completion.
  • Create PDFs for website and print usage.

Requirements

  • Proficient on a Macintosh using Adobe CS3 or higher, including InDesign, PhotoShop, Illustrator, and Acrobat.
  • 2+ years of related experience in Graphic Design or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Arts, Graphic Design, or related field preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and time management skills.
  • Highly motivated and detail-oriented.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of Final Cut Studio and/or Premiere.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with Flash and/or Filemaker Pro.
  • Familiarity with video production and editing.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
