About the position

Kforce has a client in Deerfield, IL that is seeking a Graphic Designer who will play a crucial role in creating labels and performing proofreading and verification tasks on product labeling. The Graphic Designer will be responsible for ensuring that input documents match output documents, collaborating with the team to resolve any discrepancies identified during the process, and executing data and document management entries, configuration, and document processing in the electronic document management system. This position requires assisting project leaders with various tasks to support the development, design, and implementation of product labeling. In this fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, the Graphic Designer will manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision. The role involves designing from concept, creating and executing designs, layouts, and illustrations, and publishing artwork. It is essential to ensure that labeling has been created or revised according to the requirements provided. The Graphic Designer will also be responsible for typesetting packaging components, including text, graphics, chemical structures, bar codes, etc., ensuring they adhere to guidelines and standards. Collaboration with the team is key to finalizing artwork and proceeding with submissions for agency approval. The Graphic Designer will proofread product labeling to ensure conformance to all inputs, utilizing both manual techniques and electronic comparator software such as Global Vision. Additionally, verifying that labeling artwork meets specification requirements, including dimensions, tolerances, bar code type, placement, and readability, is a critical part of the role. Meeting labeling project timelines and commitments is also a vital responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure input documents match output documents
  • Collaborate with the team to resolve differences identified during the process
  • Execute data and document management entries, configuration, and document processing in the electronic document management system
  • Assist project leaders with various tasks to support the development, design, and implementation of product labeling
  • Manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced deadline driven environment with minimal supervision

  • Perform product data and document management entry, configuration, and processing in electronic document management system
  • Meet labeling project timelines and commitments

Requirements

  • Advanced diploma or degree in Art & Design, Graphical Design, ICT; IT, or in an equivalent topic
  • Completed artwork design certification program at technical school or satisfactory completion of proficiency examination, or 3 to 5 years of work experience working in similar role
  • Experience of performing design control and document proofreading in accordance with ISO standards
  • Ability to maintain clear traceability with multiple revisions
  • Proficient knowledge of Adobe software: Acrobat, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, etc.
  • Proficient in using MS Office Suite
  • Ability to use electronic comparator software and manual proofreading techniques
  • Meticulous and attentive to detail
  • Experience in quality control is considered an asset
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
