About the position

The Graphic Designer at Meyer Distributing is responsible for visualizing, creating, and maintaining artwork to support sales efforts, enhance brand awareness, and increase profitability for the products offered. This role involves providing design services across print, online, and digital communications, utilizing creativity to strengthen both Meyer’s brand and the brands they distribute.

Responsibilities

• Create appealing and engaging designs for digital banners, social media, and email graphics.
• Create promotional ads for magazines, direct mail pieces, flyers, and other print material.
• Create, maintain, and update catalogs.
• Assist with website design and management.
• Create display signage, product packaging, and tradeshow backdrops and support material.
• Ensure a cohesive look for Meyer Distributing's brands and the brands they distribute.
• Ensure designs are created to the appropriate dimensions and optimized for the proper channels.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in graphic design or a related field.
• 3+ years of graphic design experience in a professional setting.
• Skilled in Adobe Creative Cloud with a concentration in InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• In-depth knowledge of digital and press file preparation.
• Basic HTML knowledge is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in spelling, proofreading, and the use of proper grammar.
• Excellent planning, multi-tasking, and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines.
• Willingness to learn new things.
• Attention to detail and a high personal standard of quality.
• A positive and friendly attitude.
• Ability to work well independently and with a team.
• Problem-solver with the ability to react quickly to projects.
