The University of Pennsylvania, a prestigious Ivy League institution and the largest private employer in Philadelphia, is seeking a Graphic Designer to join its Marketing Communications team. This role is pivotal in developing strategically-driven, brand-compliant creative collateral for the Penn Museum. The Graphic Designer will work under the supervision of the Senior Art & Editorial Director, focusing on a variety of projects that include digital materials for the website, marketing campaigns, social media, emails, ads, and animated promotions. Additionally, the designer will create print materials such as flyers, brochures, event programs, invitations, sections of the Expedition magazine, banners, and outdoor graphics. The ideal candidate will also support Marketing Communications needs with occasional onsite photography and will be responsible for managing a digital asset database. This includes curating highlighted images, applying metadata for searchability, and maintaining a consistent dating and labeling system. The Graphic Designer will also assist in maintaining the Museum's on-site wayfinding system, ensuring that all visual communications reflect the institution's commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA). The role requires a highly organized individual who is detail-oriented and capable of meeting tight deadlines while managing multiple projects simultaneously. Collaboration and openness to feedback are essential traits for success in this position, as the designer will be part of a larger team serving various departments within the Museum.
