About the position

The Graphic Designer at Nexstar Broadcasting will collaborate with various departments to create engaging on-air graphics for news broadcasts. This role focuses on maintaining the station's graphic identity while managing multiple projects and ensuring high-quality visual storytelling.

Responsibilities

• Create on-air still and motion graphics for news, promotions, internet, and sales departments.
• Maintain and advance the graphic look of the station.
• Manage and organize all graphic needs and related files for multiple projects.
• Interact daily with news management, producers, and directors to create visually compelling designs.
• Design and build graphics for nightly newscasts, including full screen monitor graphics, over the shoulder graphics, maps, mugshots, and information graphics.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Knowledge and experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator & Premiere Pro).
• Hands-on experience working in a live production environment.
• Operation of Ross Xpression or Chyron graphics system is recommended.
• Experience with technical television news production, graphics design, and/or electronic media.
• Clear communicator with the ability to communicate seamlessly with the newscast director.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Ross Xpression Dual channel graphics system.
• Integration of ENPS newsroom solutions software.

Benefits

• Compensation starting from $22.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and skill level.
