About the position

The Graphic Designer position at FASTSIGNS is a full-time role focused on creating high-quality graphics and vinyl outputs for various media. The designer will work autonomously on multiple projects, ensuring that customer specifications are met while maintaining artistic creativity. Responsibilities

• Create computer-generated full-color graphics and vinyl outputs.
• Modify designs based on customer drawings or files.
• Determine the best output method based on customer needs.
• Read and interpret work orders, allocating appropriate time for tasks.
• Collaborate with co-workers and customers on file transfers and proofs.
• Select style and size of type, and arrange layout based on design requirements.
• Prepare illustrations, sketches, layouts, and copy for print reproduction.
• Inspect jobs for accuracy before output.
• Maintain customer logo library and convert graphic files.
• Source images and understand copyright laws and usage requirements.
• Provide proofs for customer approval and maintain electronic file storage.
• Communicate job requirements and timing with team members.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and minor repairs as needed.
• Adhere to company policies and participate in sales opportunities.

Requirements

• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator.
• 1 year of experience in graphic design or related field.
• Strong computer skills and ability to work under pressure.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with FTP access and photo library management.
• Knowledge of stock image resources and resolution specifications.
