About the position

The State of Montana is seeking a skilled Graphic Designer to join the Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks (FWP) team in Helena. This role is essential for creating outreach materials that inform the public about the management of fish, wildlife, and recreational resources in Montana. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the outdoors and a strong background in graphic design, contributing to various campaigns aimed at promoting outdoor ethics and awareness.

Responsibilities

• Create graphics and visual content for outreach campaigns.
• Edit video and photos to enhance public communication.
• Design graphics based on data and statistics.
• Collaborate closely with a team of communication professionals.
• Manage multiple assignments and projects simultaneously.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in graphic design, fine arts, visual communication, or a related field.
• Two years of experience in graphic design.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat).
• Strong organizational skills and ability to juggle multiple assignments.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with video editing tools (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects).
• Familiarity with animation programs (Adobe Animate).
• Experience with podcast software.
