About the position

Insight Global is seeking a talented and versatile contract graphic designer to join our creative team for a three-month period. The ideal candidate will possess a strong design background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The contract designer will work on a variety of design tasks to deliver high-quality visual assets. The designer would support the Creative Marketing team, contributing to various projects that require innovative design solutions and a keen eye for detail. This role is crucial in ensuring that all visual communications align with the company's branding and marketing strategies, enhancing the overall aesthetic and effectiveness of our marketing materials. The contract graphic designer will be responsible for creating compelling graphics for both digital and print media, including but not limited to website designs, presentations, newsletters, and social media content. The designer will also engage in gif animation and other forms of digital design to enhance our online presence. Collaboration with the marketing team will be essential to understand project requirements and deliver designs that meet the needs of various campaigns. The successful candidate will be expected to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery while maintaining high standards of quality and creativity.

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality visual assets for various marketing projects.
• Support the Creative Marketing team in delivering innovative design solutions.
• Design layouts for digital and print media, including websites, presentations, and newsletters.
• Engage in gif animation and social media content creation.
• Collaborate with team members to understand project requirements and objectives.
• Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery.

Requirements

• Strong design background with a good sense of typography.
• Excellent layout design skills.
• Fluency in all current design software tools, including the Adobe Creative Suite and supporting plugins.
• Technical application skills in website design, presentation design, and Mailchimp newsletter design.
• Experience in gif animation and designing for social media.
• Portfolio showcasing previous design work, particularly in event graphics, environmental design, and infographics.
• Interest in self-investigation and mindfulness as it relates to design.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working in a museum or with science-related projects.
• Background in animation and web design.
