About the position

The Graphic Designer at Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance (DZCA) plays a crucial role in creating engaging visuals that support the organization's conservation efforts. This position involves developing original designs for various media, ensuring brand consistency, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality materials that resonate with diverse audiences. The designer will also manage projects, contribute to video and photography efforts, and stay updated on design trends to enhance DZCA's visual presence.

Responsibilities

• Create original visuals for digital, print, social media, and internal communications.
• Communicate design concepts and strategies effectively to stakeholders.
• Maintain brand identity across all materials and support brand evolution.
• Collaborate with team members to align designs with project goals.
• Manage multiple deadlines and track project progress within budget and timelines.
• Guide visual capture sessions and develop shot lists for content creation.
• Stay current with design trends and incorporate best practices.

Requirements

• 2-year degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in graphic design, preferably in a nonprofit setting.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and both print and digital design.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, After Effects, Canva, and project management software is a plus.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

• Experience in animation/motion design and photography.
