About the position

At Hagadone Media Montana and the Daily Inter Lake, we are passionate about delivering high-quality community journalism to northwest Montana. With the largest independent newsroom in Montana, we take pride in our commitment to excellence and strive to connect people with the information they need and love. We are currently seeking an innovative and dedicated Graphic Designer to join our new and growing creative team. In this role, you will collaborate with other designers and our sales and marketing departments to create effective and eye-catching images and ad campaigns to help our local clients. Your job duties will include developing graphics for print and digital platforms that enhance our client's comprehensive marketing campaigns. Our ideal candidate will have a substantial portfolio of successful campaigns and be proficient with Adobe Creative Suite.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the design team on project concepts
• Determine voice and messaging for graphic design pieces
• Develop advertising creative, logos, and other graphics as needed
• Advise on best practices and optimizations throughout design projects
• Select colors, font, images, and layout
• Create visualizations that convey accurate messaging and undertones
• Present designs to stakeholders and applicable teams
• Implement feedback and changes when appropriate
• Q/A designs for errors
• Other creative projects as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in graphic design, art, design or a related field
• Portfolio of extensive designs used in successful marketing campaigns
• Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite and PhotoShop
• Exceptional creativity and innovation
• Experience with both print and electronic media
• Attention to detail
• Time management and organizational skills
