About the position

BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Graphic Designer for an opportunity in Eagan, MN. This position is part-time, with less than 40 hours weekly, and is a contract role that allows for remote work. The anticipated start date for this position is August 26, 2024, although this date is subject to change. The Graphic Designer will be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand project goals and translating ideas into visual representations of new product and packaging concepts. This role requires generating a high volume of visual assets quickly, including product mockups, packaging variations, and brand explorations, utilizing both AI image generation tools and traditional design software. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment, adapting quickly to changing priorities while managing multiple projects with accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project goals and translate ideas into visual representations of new product and packaging concepts.
• Generate a high volume of visual assets, including product mockups, packaging variations, and brand explorations, using AI image generation tools and traditional design software.
• Explore a wide range of visual possibilities, experimenting with different styles, formats, and levels of fidelity based on project needs.
• Present work clearly and concisely, articulating design decisions and their impact on the learning process.
• Thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment, adapting quickly to changing priorities and managing multiple projects with accuracy.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in a graphic design role, demonstrating a strong understanding of design principles, typography, and visual communication.
• At least 6 months of experience with AI image generation tools (e.g., Midjourney, DALL-E, Adobe Firefly) and traditional design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
