About the position

Peraton is seeking a Graphic Designer to support our Intelligence Community (IC) customer onsite in Bethesda, MD. The role involves developing graphics, digital media, cartography, and other multimedia products while ensuring high-quality customer support for communication requests. The designer will collaborate with UI/UX designers to create engaging and user-friendly graphics for various digital platforms, ensuring compliance with production standards and accessibility requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Develop graphics, digital media, cartography, and other multimedia products.
  • Utilize request management tools to provide swift, high-quality customer support for communication requests.
  • Coordinate with UI/UX designer in Knowledge Management to ensure graphics products provide an engaging and user-friendly experience.
  • Create graphic designs for a variety of written and digital products.
  • Develop design concepts and implement designs for new web pages, mobile applications, newsletters, ads, infographics, banners, illustrations, logos, and other types of digital content.
  • Ensure products conform to all production standards, copyright laws, accessibility compliance requirements, and public release clearances.
  • Conduct technical quality checks.
  • Manage an approved concept and build in HTML/CSS to comply with responsive design principles.
  • Provide cartography support as needed to design thematic and reference maps.

Requirements

  • Requires 5 years of experience with a BS/BA; 3 years with an MS/MA; 0 years with a PhD.
  • TS/SCI with Polygraph level clearance required.
  • Experience in leading the development of graphics, digital media, cartography, and other multimedia products.
  • Proficiency in front-end web design, UI/UX, HTML/CSS.
  • Experience in photography and video editing.
  • Ability to mentor and train junior staff.
  • Experience in creating graphics products that provide an engaging and user-friendly experience.
  • Experience in ensuring products conform to all production standards, copyright laws, accessibility compliance requirements, and public release clearances.
