Responsibilities

  • Design creative assets including social media posts, digital ads, email content, and printed materials.
  • Create an editing and approval process for all creative content to ensure adherence to brand standards.
  • Ensure all content aligns with the university's brand guidelines and design best practices.
  • Coordinate with the Office of Marketing & Communications team to develop strategic creative solutions for marketing campaigns.
  • Independently manage multiple projects while adhering to timelines.
  • Collaborate with academic departments to create solutions that meet their needs while following brand standards.
  • Liaise with agency partners to ensure graphic and video materials meet specifications.
  • Manage and organize graphic and video content on shared drives.
  • Stay updated with design trends and technologies to propose innovative ideas.
  • Guide design student workers on marketing and promotional tasks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic/Interactive Design, Visual Arts, Digital Media Production, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of proven design experience, particularly in marketing and promotional collateral.
  • Experience working within brand guidelines and translating them into graphic mediums.
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Adobe Express).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and Google Suite.
  • Strong understanding of layout and typography skills and trends.
  • Strong marketing communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage tight deadlines and multiple projects.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in video editing, including software like Premier Pro and After Effects.
  • Knowledge of social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
