About the position

The graphic designer plays a very important role within Dillard's in-house advertising department, creating compelling designs to promote Dillard's merchandise in various advertising pieces, primarily email campaigns. The position is located in Little Rock at our Corporate Headquarters, and no remote work is available.

Responsibilities

  • Create compelling designs to promote Dillard's merchandise in various advertising pieces, primarily email campaigns.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines and producing desired results.

Requirements

  • 1+ years experience in graphic design using Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).
  • Experience designing for e-commerce, email or digital advertising with examples of previous work.
  • Strong understanding of fundamental visual design including layout/composition and color.
  • College or associate degree in related field and/or Professional Certification required.
  • Accuracy and a strong eye for detail are absolutely essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High emotional intelligence and a willingness to collaborate and accept/offer constructive feedback.
  • Self-motivated and highly organized.
  • Comfortable working under tight deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Interest in fashion, commerce, popular culture, current events, advertising trends, etc.
  • Experience with HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, and JavaScript or responsive (adaptive) design.
  • Illustration and animation skills.
