The Graphic Designer at The Nature Conservancy (TNC) plays a crucial role in managing and executing the organization's brand identity system. This position involves a hands-on approach to creative projects, where the designer will collaborate with the Midwest storytelling team to apply TNC's brand identity and visual vocabulary effectively. The ideal candidate will be a creative, conceptual thinker who is ready to define and execute an artistic vision from start to finish. The role requires the designer to contribute to various creative projects, ensuring that all designs are smart, thoughtful, and compelling, aligning with the organization's mission to conserve the lands and waters upon which all life depends. In this position, the Graphic Designer will be responsible for designing, directing, researching, and managing graphics, layouts, and art production. They will develop and maintain the Conservancy's brand visual vocabulary while meeting frequent photography, production, and copy deadlines. The designer will also organize, manage, and coordinate diverse projects and activities, often working within a budget to complete projects. This role may involve supervising volunteers, interns, contractors, or temporary staff, and the designer will be expected to perform duties under general supervision while having the autonomy to direct individual projects. The Graphic Designer will need to clearly and effectively present their work, communicate their vision, and negotiate feedback with project stakeholders. This position is essential for ensuring that TNC's visual communications are consistent and impactful, contributing to the organization's overall storytelling efforts.
