About the position

The Graphic Designer at Hood Container Corporation is responsible for creating original artwork and graphics to support Sales Representatives in their promotional efforts. This role involves collaborating with sales teams, understanding customer needs, and ensuring that designs are feasible for production. The designer will also utilize various software tools to produce high-quality graphics and may accompany sales representatives to present designs to clients.

Responsibilities

• Create artwork and original graphics for sales promotions.
• Analyze customer needs and production feasibility for new artwork.
• Accompany Sales Representatives to present new artwork to customers.
• Utilize Amtech program for tooling orders.
• Handle various art-related projects for company management.
• Comply with company policies and procedures, including safety protocols.

Requirements

• College education or heavy coursework in computers, CAD, and drafting, or applicable work experience.
• Good communication skills with customers and sales staff.
• Working knowledge of Windows and graphics software, including Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat).
• Experience with 3-D software modeling.

Nice-to-haves

• Work experience in a related field such as corrugated packaging.
• Experience in printing (Litho/Flexography).
• Drafting education or experience.
