About the position

Peraton is seeking a Graphic Designer to support our Intelligence Community (IC) customer onsite in Bethesda, MD. The role involves developing graphics, digital media, and multimedia products while ensuring compliance with production standards and accessibility requirements. The designer will collaborate with UI/UX designers to create engaging and user-friendly graphics for various digital platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Develop graphics, digital media, cartography, and other multimedia products.
  • Utilize request management tools to provide swift, high-quality customer support for communication requests.
  • Coordinate with UI/UX designer in Knowledge Management to ensure graphics products provide an engaging and user-friendly experience.
  • Create graphic designs for a variety of written and digital products.
  • Develop design concepts and implement designs for new web pages, mobile applications, newsletters, ads, infographics, banners, illustrations, logos, and other types of digital content.
  • Ensure products conform to all production standards, copyright laws, accessibility compliance requirements, and public release clearances.
  • Conduct technical quality checks.
  • Manage an approved concept and build in HTML/CSS to comply with responsive design principles.
  • Provide cartography support to design thematic and reference maps as needed.

Requirements

  • Requires 5 years of experience with a BS/BA; 3 years with an MS/MA; 0 years with a PhD.
  • TS/SCI with Polygraph level clearance required.
  • Experience leading the development of graphics, digital media, cartography, and other multimedia products.
  • Experience in front-end web design, UI/UX, HTML/CSS.
  • Experience in photography and video editing.
  • Experience mentoring and training junior staff.
  • Experience creating graphics products that provide an engaging and user-friendly experience.
  • Experience ensuring products conform to all production standards, copyright laws, accessibility compliance requirements, and public release clearances.
  • Experience conducting technical quality checks.
