About the position

The Graphic Designer position at Salinas Valley Health involves planning and coordinating the production of various marketing materials under the supervision of the Assistant Vice President of Marketing, Media & Public Relations. The role focuses on public relations objectives, design coordination, and managing print projects while ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines and deadlines. The designer will also create graphics for in-house advertising and collateral materials for the healthcare system.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate the production of publications such as newsletters, brochures, and advertisements.
• Assist in the planning and implementation of projects to meet public relation objectives.
• Coordinate the design, production, and distribution of employee newsletters and community publications.
• Provide public relation planning, writing, and design coordination for assigned product lines.
• Manage print projects, obtain bids, process paperwork, and communicate with vendors and internal personnel.
• Design and create graphics for the in-house advertising agency and Marketing/Public Relations Department.
• Oversee the design and printing of collateral materials for affiliates as needed.
• Fill in for the Assistant Vice President of Marketing in their absence.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in graphic design, public relations, communications journalism, or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in graphic design, public relations, or communications.
