About the position
The Graphic Designer position at a full stack creative agency involves creating final mechanicals with a strong focus on composition, color, typography, and visual impact. The designer will work collaboratively with various team members to execute design solutions that meet client specifications and project constraints.
Responsibilities
- Designs and executes assets based on client specifications, brand standards, budget constraints, and final format needed for file output.
- Determines size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, selects style and size of type, and arranges layout based on specifications and aesthetic design concepts.
- Presents samples to the Creative Director for approval.
- Provides final pre-flight of digital files delivered to clients and vendors to ensure project accuracy.
- Reviews proofs to ensure quality and adherence to specifications.
- Uses a wide range of media, including photography and computer-aided design.
- Keeps abreast of developments in marketing and advertising environments.
- Contributes ideas and design artwork to the overall brief.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years' experience in a related field required, preferably with experience in financial or agency backgrounds.
- Proficient in graphic design software in a Mac environment including Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Photoshop.
- Ability to execute files using Microsoft Office applications such as PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to think creatively to produce new ideas and visualize projects from beginning to end.
- Strong problem-solving skills, logical and critical thinking abilities, and the capacity to multitask while meeting tight deadlines.
- Produces accurate and high-quality work.
