About the position

Big Ass Fans is seeking an experienced Graphic Designer to play a pivotal role in shaping the brand identity of our residential marketing efforts. This position is integral to creating exceptional marketing materials that align with our brand standards and meet the strategic needs of the Residential Marketing Segment. The Graphic Designer will be responsible for maintaining the visual identity of our brand across global markets and various sales channels. Working closely with our in-house Creative Team and Marketing Department Managers, the Graphic Designer will translate key messages and visions into high-quality designs, ensuring a consistent visual voice across all platforms. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of core design best practices and have a proven track record in both print and digital design. They will thrive in a fast-paced agency model, effectively managing tasks assigned by our Project Manager and delivering accurate scopes of work promptly. The Graphic Designer will be expected to see the bigger picture of brand consistency within marketing collateral, ensuring that all content is dependable, clean, and easily consumable. Additionally, the candidate should have a solid grasp of modern digital collateral requirements, understanding the needs for various channels such as websites, digital advertising, and email marketing. In this role, the Graphic Designer will collaborate directly with the Creative Team and Channel Marketers to conceive and execute creative design solutions, moving projects from brief through concept to final execution. They will present concepts and rough drafts to Creative Managers, develop attractive and compelling graphic solutions for targeted marketing materials, and ensure that all designs adhere to original specifications and brand standards. The position requires maintaining technical knowledge of best practices related to color, typography, illustration, photography, animation, and various print and layout techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate directly with the Creative Team and Channel Marketers to conceive and execute creative design solutions, moving projects from brief through concept and final execution.
  • Present concepts and rough drafts to Creative Managers.
  • Develop attractive and compelling graphic solutions for targeted marketing materials in various mediums.
  • Ensure that concepts and designs adhere to original design brief specifications, and are consistent with project objectives and brand standards.
  • Spec and release high-quality artwork for both digital and print production.
  • Maintain technical knowledge of best practices related to color, typography, illustration, photography, animation, and various print and layout techniques.

Requirements

  • Proven and portfolio-backed work experience as a graphic designer.
  • 5+ years of creative agency or in-house marketing department experience, preferably with consumer brands.
  • Experience in both print and digital design.
  • Print production experience, both digital and offset.
  • Excellent visual, written, and verbal communicator.
  • Experience collaborating with other creative professionals and proven ability to produce quality work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, problem-solving, collaborative environment.
  • Experience working with photographers and 3D media artists.
  • Expert in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and XD).
  • Excellent time-management skills - must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously, including tight deadlines.
