The Graphic Designer works directly with the Production Artist Manager and is responsible for translating the Full Sail and Full Sail DC3 brand and message for both graphic and animated assets. The Designer also works alongside the Instructional Designer and the Instructional Design Manager, to design, produce, and facilitate the production needs for the DC3 team. The Graphic Designer will apply art and layout skills to create visually engaging concepts such as logos, communication, and media for use in media assets for the DC3 courses. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include designing original assets for use in animation, motion graphics, and other digital media. The Designer must have the ability to understand, interpret, and explain complex concepts visually. They will build reports, slide decks, and data visualizations that communicate DC3 ideas. Collaboration with internal team members is crucial to understand project assignments, audience, and intended messages. The Designer will choose graphics, animation, art, and photography to apply to assigned projects, create original assets and content, including illustrations and motion graphics, and revise projects as necessary based on collaborative review. Additionally, the Designer will record, photograph, and document events produced by DC3, using creative skills in art and design to communicate a story, message, or idea in support of instructional content delivery. Other responsibilities include occasional evening or weekend hours, adhering to the policies and procedures of Full Sail University, attending meetings for leadership development and updates on strategic initiatives, demonstrating a strong commitment to the mission and values of the university, and performing other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Fine Art, Graphic Arts or related field.
  • Three years' experience as a graphic designer.
  • Two years' experience with interactive design (PDF, ePub, web).
  • At least one year experience in a long-format production environment.
  • An online portfolio or PDF must be submitted for consideration.
  • Proficiency using Adobe Creative Suite programs (particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, Audition and Premiere).
  • Proficiency using applications for reporting, file sharing, and communication, such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), Keynote, Dropbox, and Google Docs.
  • Creating, editing and presenting multimedia projects.
  • Sound planning, organization, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of cameras, lighting, and audio visual equipment.
