About the position

The Graphic Designer position at Client Deliverables Solutions (CDS) involves creating compelling visual communications for project documentation at Jacobs. This role requires collaboration with project teams to develop quality publications that effectively convey technical information. The designer will work in a hybrid capacity, contributing to both internal and external client projects, and will be responsible for producing graphics such as covers, flow charts, maps, and infographics for various deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Create compelling graphics for project documentation including covers, flow charts, maps, and infographics.
• Collaborate with project teams to develop and deliver quality publications.
• Engage with clients and team members to share knowledge and ideas.
• Utilize Adobe Creative Cloud Suite to design and layout documents.
• Ensure that graphics are reader-friendly and visually appealing, particularly for technical reports and presentations.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of graphic design experience.
• Expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, particularly Adobe Acrobat, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, especially PowerPoint.
• Experience using ArcGIS Maps for Adobe Creative Cloud to create maps.
• Strong professional communication skills, both verbal and written.

Nice-to-haves

• Minimum two-year Associates degree in graphic design, visual arts, or a related field.
• Additional coursework or post-graduate studies in graphic design or a related field.
• Experience in an engineering consulting environment.
• Extensive experience in producing electronic and print deliverables.
• Knowledge of document accessibility best practices (Section 508, AODA, WCAG, PDF/UA).
• Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends.
• Understanding of shared workspace platforms like SharePoint and ProjectWise.
