About the position

The Graphic Designer will be a key member of the marketing team, responsible for executing design projects across various mediums, including web and print. This role requires adaptability and collaboration with a diverse team to create user-focused marketing solutions for an international audience. The designer will work on marketing campaigns, web content, and digital ads, ensuring a seamless customer experience through effective design principles and branding.

Responsibilities

  • Web design including landing pages, email blasts, digital ads, and websites.
  • Produce emails, banners, and website designs using HTML5 and CSS3.
  • Utilize design thinking and branding knowledge to enhance customer experience across platforms.
  • Create designs using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, and InDesign.
  • Design digital ads for social media platforms.
  • Demonstrate mastery of layout principles, aesthetics, design concepts, and typography.
  • Conceptualize designs based on marketing direction.
  • Create engaging B2B content.
  • Print design including publication ads, brochures, and posters.
  • Execute designs and concepts from direction provided by the Marketing Director, Art Director, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 3 years of design experience.
  • Experience writing HTML5 and CSS3 to current standards.
  • Proven skills using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, and Lightroom).
  • Flexibility in managing multiple projects and effective prioritization.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Strong grasp of design principles and design thinking.
  • Strong team orientation and ability to work effectively in a participative management culture.
  • Organized and deadline-driven work ethic.
  • Ability to learn and follow brand guidelines, designing to the Rio Grande brand.
  • Experience with the proofing process and ability to accept feedback from various stakeholders.
  • Degree in web design or a closely related field.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working in an Agile project management environment.
  • Knowledge of Bootstrap, SASS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
  • UI/UX training and experience.
  • Experience with CMS platforms (Magento, Sitecore, WordPress, Squarespace, etc.).
  • Knowledge or experience in building email marketing automation.
  • Experience in Sales CRMs (Hubspot, Salesforce, etc.).
  • Knowledge or experience with Account Based Marketing.
