About the position

The Graphic Designer at James River Church plays a crucial role in the Creative Team, working closely with the Creative Team Director to develop and oversee graphic design projects for the Lead Pastor's office and various church departments. This full-time position requires a blend of creativity, technical skills, and the ability to work under tight deadlines, all while maintaining the integrity of the church's brand. The designer will create visual elements for services and special events, ensuring that all designs align with the church's mission and values.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality graphic designs that align with the James River Church brand.
• Communicate design strategies clearly to meet the expectations of the Lead Pastor's office and Creative Team Director.
• Create visual elements for weekly services, including screen graphics and motion graphics.
• Assist in the design and production of special event materials for occasions like Easter and Christmas.
• Protect the James River Church brand by ensuring cohesive and visually appealing designs.

Requirements

• Two years of professional graphic design experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and collaborate with team members effectively.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills with minimal supervision.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to handle frequent interruptions.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Familiarity with both PC and Mac systems.
