About the position

Quartermaster is seeking a full-time graphic designer to support branding development work and marketing retainer accounts. This position is hybrid, requiring the designer to be onsite in our Chicago office three days a week. The graphic designer will be responsible for creating and developing graphic design solutions from concept to completion for a wide range of applications including brand identity, websites, social media, packaging, and interactive environments. The role also involves light animation and video editing, primarily for social media posts. In this position, the designer will develop, own, and adhere to brand standards for our entertainment, consumer packaged goods (CPG), and B2B clients. Acting as a brand advocate, the designer will ensure a cohesive look and feel across all graphic applications. Coordination with the creative director and account managers is essential to ensure that design solutions meet client objectives. The designer will manage multiple projects simultaneously while owning the delivery of design outputs. Staying up-to-date on the latest creative marketing and design standards is crucial to ensure that the agency continues to deliver visually appealing, cutting-edge work.

Responsibilities

  • Create and develop graphic design solutions for a wide range of applications including brand identity, websites, social media, packaging, and interactive environments.
  • Perform light animation and video editing primarily for social media posts.
  • Develop, own, and adhere to brand standards for entertainment, CPG, and B2B clients.
  • Act as a brand advocate to ensure a cohesive look and feel across all graphic applications.
  • Coordinate with the creative director and account managers to ensure design solutions meet client objectives.

  • Stay up-to-date on the latest creative marketing and design standards.

Requirements

  • 3 years experience working for brand or agency clients.
  • Strong command of Adobe Creative Suite, including After Effects.
  • Command of Figma in the development of website designs and UX.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced agency setting with strong multitasking skills.
  • Excellent teamwork, problem-solving, communication, and organization skills.
  • Experience with and enthusiasm for creative development, ideation, and brainstorming.
  • Proven ability to manage client expectations and deliver visually appealing, on-brand designs.
  • Deep understanding and awareness of aligning consumer goals and business goals.
