About the position

The MJ Companies is seeking a talented and creative graphic designer to join our expanding team dedicated to communicating our brand and engaging our audience through compelling visual content. The Graphic Designer will play a critical role on the corporate Marketing + Communications team by creating visually appealing designs that align with MJ's brand identity and business goals. This visual storyteller will have a passion for design, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to translate marketing strategies and complex concepts into effective visual communications. In this role, the Graphic Designer will be responsible for the conception and development of visually compelling and on-brand marketing materials, including print and digital media, advertisements, social media graphics, promotional materials, website elements, and corporate presentations. The designer will independently interpret and translate complex ideas and written content into effective and engaging infographics while maintaining brand guidelines to ensure a consistent and cohesive visual identity across all products and materials. The Graphic Designer will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive messaging and branding across all channels. This includes standardizing, updating, and maintaining internal design guidelines, marketing collateral, and corporate templates. The designer will coordinate all aspects of production, including the preparation of final design files for use, and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality. Staying up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and design best practices is also essential for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for conception and development of visually compelling and on-brand marketing materials, including print and digital media, advertisements, social media graphics, promotional materials, website elements, and corporate presentations.

  • Maintain brand guidelines, ensuring consistent and cohesive visual identity across all products and materials.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional graphic design experience, preferably in a corporate or agency environment.
  • Proven experience in creating visual content for both print and digital platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to take creative direction and incorporate feedback effectively.
  • Aptitude to manage multiple deadlines effectively in a fast-paced, quickly changing environment.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to organize a daily workload and prioritize tasks.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with UX/UI design, web design principles, and video editing software preferred.
  • SharePoint experience preferred.
