About the position

The Graphic Designer at the University of Nebraska at Omaha will conceptualize, design, and produce high-quality materials to establish NCITE as a leading source for research on terrorism and violent extremism. This role requires a strong understanding of graphic design concepts and tools, with responsibilities including the creation of visually appealing products for various audiences, maintaining the NCITE website, and ensuring consistent branding across materials.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, design, and produce high-quality communications and marketing materials, including branded academic reports.
• Support NCITE events and represent NCITE as a member of the communications team.
• Work independently with NCITE researchers and partners on projects, from draft reviews to production.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.
• One year of experience in marketing, graphic design, or a related field.
• Extensive experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop), Microsoft Office products, and other design tools.
• Proven verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous graphic design experience at a university or college.
