About the position

Cayuse is seeking a Graphic Designer to create visually appealing designs that effectively communicate messages for various projects. The role involves collaborating with State staff to understand project scopes, developing graphics for logos and websites, and ensuring designs meet coding standards for web accessibility. This position is integral to delivering high-quality services to local and state clients, contributing to the company's mission of benefiting the Tribal community.

Responsibilities

• Meet with State staff to determine the scope of a project.
• Advise State on strategies to reach a particular audience.
• Determine the message the design should portray.
• Create images that identify a product or convey a message.
• Develop graphics for logos and websites.
• Select colors, images, text style, and layout.
• Present the design to State.
• Incorporate changes recommended by the State into the final design.
• Review designs for errors before printing or publishing them.
• Ensure that coding standards are met, optimizing the web architectures for navigability and accessibility.
• Utilize specialized graphic design software to prepare designs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.

• Ability to discern key themes within large, complex datasets
• Application of specialized skills within a government agency environment
• Skilled in project design and management
• Capability with PowerBi and PowerAutomate
• Experience in data visualization, especially for external audiences
