About the position

The Graphic/Web Designer position at Rio Grande involves creating engaging designs for various marketing campaigns and web content. The role requires a self-driven individual who can work across multiple mediums and platforms, collaborating with a diverse team to deliver user-focused marketing solutions. The designer will be responsible for both digital and print design, ensuring a seamless customer experience through effective branding and design principles.

Responsibilities

  • Web design including landing pages, email blasts, digital ads, and websites.
  • Produce emails, banners, and website designs using HTML5 and CSS3.
  • Utilize design thinking to create a seamless customer experience across platforms.
  • Create designs using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, and InDesign.
  • Design digital ads for social media platforms.
  • Demonstrate mastery of layout principles, aesthetic, design concepts, and typography.
  • Conceptualize design based on marketing direction.
  • Create engaging B2B content.
  • Print design including publication ads, brochures, and posters.
  • Execute designs and concepts from direction provided by the Marketing Director, Art Director, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 3 years of design experience.
  • Experience writing HTML5 and CSS3 to current standards.
  • Proven skills using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, and Lightroom).
  • Flexibility in juggling a variety of projects while effectively prioritizing.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment of change.
  • Strong grasp of design principles and design thinking.
  • Strong team orientation and ability to work effectively in a participative management culture.
  • Organized and deadline-driven work ethic.
  • Ability to learn and follow brand guidelines, designing to the Rio Grande brand.
  • Experience with proofing process and ability to take feedback from various stakeholders.
  • Degree in web design or closely related field.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working in an Agile project management environment.
  • Knowledge of Bootstrap, SASS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
  • UI/UX training and experience.
  • Experience with CMS platforms (Magento, Sitecore, WordPress, Squarespace, etc.).
  • Knowledge or experience building email marketing automation.
  • Experience in Sales CRMs (Hubspot, Salesforce, etc.).
  • Knowledge or experience with Account Based Marketing.
