About the position
RT Hicks Photography is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Graphic Designer to join our team for a special event at the Cooks Garage Classic Car Show in Lubbock, Texas. This role involves capturing stunning photographs of classic cars while also promoting our business by distributing promotional cards to car owners. The event will take place on September 6th and 7th, 2024, and we are looking for someone who is not only skilled in photography but also familiar with Mac computers and Photoshop. On Friday, September 6th, you will come by after 1:00 PM for a brief training session where we will show you how we enhance photos. On Saturday, September 7th, your working hours will be from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, during which you will be actively photographing classic cars, handing out promotional cards, and assisting in our photography booth by enhancing and printing photos for the car owners. We will provide all necessary equipment, including printers and computers, and you may also have the opportunity to use a camera for some of the photos. This is a fast-paced and fun event, requiring physical fitness due to the amount of walking involved. We are looking for someone who can thrive in a dynamic environment and is eager to learn and contribute to our photography efforts. The position is temporary, lasting one week or less, and offers a pay rate of $175.00 to $200.00 per day. Responsibilities
- Take photographs of classic cars at the Cooks Garage Classic Car Show.
- Distribute promotional cards to car owners during the event.
- Enhance and print photos for classic car owners in the photography booth.
- Assist in setting up and managing the photography booth.
- Learn and apply photo enhancement techniques using provided equipment.
Requirements
- Familiarity with Mac computers.
- Proficiency in Photoshop.
- Ability to walk and remain active throughout the event.
- Previous experience in graphic design (1 year preferred).
- Must be physically fit to handle a fast-paced environment.
